ADMISSION FOR JUNIOR K.G. AND NURSERY 2021-2022

History: Mount Carmel School, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad is run by the sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, a Congregation of Indian Sisters founded in 1870 by Venerable Mother Veronica, a holy and dedicated woman, in Bayonne, France who was divinely inspired to reach out to girls especially through Education.

Mount Carmel High School since its establishment in 1923 for the education of girls, in the city of Ahmedabad, continues to be the epicenter of the finest education for children. It is a Minority Catholic Institution. There are many factors like well qualified teaching staff, caring support staff, that makes Mount Carmel one of the schools with the best reputation in Ahmedabad City.

JUNIOR / LOWER K.G.; Age : 4+ (01-06-2016 to 31-05-2017)

&
NURSERY; Age : 3+ (01-06-2017 to 31-05-2018)

• Important Dates :
Online Application forms available for admission: 2nd January, 2021

Closing Online Registration: 31st January, 2021

FIRST ROUND : Date and time for the PHYSICAL VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS at school along with the application form for Admission with the registration fee of Rs.200/- only. You will be intimated the above on School Website and School Notice Board by 16th January, 2021 (Saturday).

For Junior/Lower K.G. :
The date of birth of the child must be between 01-06-2016 to 31-05-2017 both dates inclusive (4+)
For Nursery :

The date of birth of the child must be between 01-06-2017 to 31-05-2018 both dates inclusive (3+)

• Important Documents to be submitted at the time of Verification at School on the given date and time:

1. Post card size photo (4” x 6” with white background in matt finish) of the child with Father and Mother.
2. Photo copy of Birth Certificate should be from Municipal Corporation, Gram Panchayat by all.
3. Photo copy of the Aadhar Card of the Child.
4. Photo copy of Identity proof of the father (anyone : Driving License/VoterIdentity Card/ Passport).
5. Photo copy of Residential Proof (anyone : Ration card of family / ElectricityBill/Telephone Bill/Gas Bill).
6. Photo copy of Mother’s School Leaving Certificate (attach only if you havepassed out Std X from Mount Carmel High School, Ahmedabad).
7. Photo copy of Caste Certificate (only if you belong to SC/ST/OBC/BAXI).

• CATEGORIES FOR REGISTRATION :
1. Catholic/Christian Students : Parents should submit (a) birth Certificate

from Municipality Corporation, (b) Baptism Certificate and (c) a recommendation letter from the Parish Priest or Pastor to secure admission.

2. Alumnus : Children whose mother has passed Std X from this school fall under this category. The alumnus parents must submit class X passing certificate and bonafide certificate at the time of verification of documents. The parents, who have passed Std XI & XII do not qualify under this category and need to apply under the fresh category.

Parents having Registered Life Membership takes the precedence at the time of admission process.

3. Sibling : Only 2 seats per family are included for admission under this category. However, if the parents are applying for admission for their 3rd child, they have to apply under the fresh category.
   Parents applying under the sibling category should produce the photo copy of the First Semester Marks Sheet 2020 of their first child.
4. Fresher : Applicants who do not fall under any of the above categories should apply under this category.
